About The Porchway Club

For Young And New FreeMasons in Derbyshire

The Porchway Club in Derbyshire was founded in 2018 to provide young & newly initiated Freemasons within the province of Derbyshire a means to socialise and meet with like-minded people of a similar stage in their Freemasonry.

Membership of The Porchway Club is open to all Freemasons  who have not yet been installed as a Worshipful Master, whose Craft Lodge falls within Derbyshire and under the Provincial Grand Lodge of Derbyshire.

Membership of The Porchway Club is FREE, however there may be a small charge for certain events organised by the club.

Pictured right is our past Provincial Grand Master, RWBro Steven Varley,  accompanied by Bro Gareth Collins welcoming a newly made brother into the Club.

As a club, we meet throughout the province to accomplish three main goals.

1

To show our friends, family and loved ones what a fantastic community we have become a part of, and ensure they understand what it means to be a Freemason.

2

To encourage new and younger masons to participate, and endeavour to make a daily advancement in their knowledge together.

3

Perhaps most importantly, to have fun and partake in regular social events to help build camaraderie and brotherhood.

Socialise And Build Camaraderie

Being a Freemason isn’t just about the ceremonies and dinners; it’s about becoming the best version of you, and leaving a positive impact on the world. In Freemasonry, you get out what you put in. Being an active member socially is just as important as paying your dues, performing splendid ritual or contributing funds to the charity steward’s purse.

The Porchway Club exists to celebrate and encourage the feeling of camaraderie and the sense of brotherhood. This feeling, I’m sure you’ll agree in time, extends far beyond the temple and festive board, and forms part of our daily lives.
